Elon Musk Promises Cheap Starlink Internet in India

Elon Musk is offering heavily discounted Starlink internet to bypass India's current telecom networks, which really suffer from severe congestion, frequent disconnections, and massive dead zones in remote areas. Starlink brings two huge advantages where it uses advanced space lasers for rapid, lag free connectivity and completely ignores unreliable ground infrastructure to deliver steady, ultra high speed web access directly to isolated villages. By offering these cheap rates to win a government license, Musk hopes to rescue millions of citizens from poor local connections while breaking the grip of India's existing telecom monopolies.

Why it matters: It features a direct, high stakes battle between Elon Musk and India's richest man, Mukesh Ambani (owner of Reliance Jio) to see who will control the world's most populous internet market.
