Escalating AI hardware and custom infrastructure shift

Microsoft launched a massive rollout of its custom Maia 300 chips to break Nvidia's expensive monopoly and achieve hardware independence across its cloud data centers. Simultaneously, Amazon entered a multi billion dollar talks to acquire an AI startup called "Decart" to scale its autonomous infrastructure. This sudden shift is critical because Decart’s software allows AI models to run seamlessly on Amazon’s own chips, and bypassing Nvidia’s ecosystem entirely. This forces a fierce supply chain war among the big tech giants who are trying to control the physical backbone of AI. Ultimately, acquiring core software startups allows these companies to drastically slash operational costs, which will dictate how fast and affordable everyday AI tools become for consumers.
Why it matters: That will stop Nvidia monopoly in the marked and will also lower the costs for everyone
