Nvidia is betting on Reflection AI

Nvidia is moving fast to expand its dominance beyond just physical hardware by entering early talks to potentially buy out or deeply invest in the software team at Reflection AI. Even though Nvidia is already the real king of the chip market, they are throwing hundreds of millions of dollars around to scoop up independent software engineers before rivals can touch them. Reflection AI is highly prized for its breakthrough open source models that fix their own reasoning errors which is a capability that Nvidia desperately wants to bundle with its graphics processors. This strategy is an aggressive attempt to control the entire pipeline of the AI from the raw silicon up to the actual models. If the deal goes through, it will solidify Nvidia's grip on the industry, making it almost impossible for smaller tech startups to compete independently.
